Very appealing atmosphere! High quality fish and innovative dishes. When it comes to eating, you can't complain here who is willing to dig a little deeper into your pocket and expect an experience.

Very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere! The sushi is really delicious and there is something for everyone. Friendly staff, there is a lot going on in the evening, so you should definitely reserve early enough. The only thing I would improve: would be really very nice if you also consider your wishes when making the reservation and also confirm the Quandoo reservation! Otherwise very clear recommendation!

My absolute favorite when it comes to sushi & Asian cuisine! Top service, delicious food and a very nice atmosphere! Since my friend and I were on our first date in the Umibar almost a year ago, we have been stopping by several times a month. The delicious neighbors. Even before I moved into my perfume studio in Südstadt, I checked which restaurant in the area was the most delicious. Clearly, the Umibar. Since then I have been a guest at least once a week and enjoy the delicious food from the friendly team. A good place.

I really recommend Umibar to everyone. Definitely the best sushi shop in Cologne. I just love everything, be it the interior design or the atmosphere in the store. The sushi tastes very different than in other sushi shops, so you definitely have to go here once! After that you won't want to eat sushi in any other shop;) everything was great!

We were here for the first time yesterday. Due to the many Instaposts and photos we saw, we had expected a lot. We were then a bit disappointed that we were shown to our reserved table but then completely forgotten for a while. At least we got a first menu from the next table and could start to choose our food. But when the waiter noticed us and realized that we had nothing yet, he politely apologized. The food itself was absolutely okay, but not so much better than anywhere else to our taste. And we've been to quite a few sushi restaurants. Maybe we will give it another try ... Then we would rate again.

Disappointed in general. We ordered a sushi mix for 52€ (8nigiris, 2 special rolls, 3 makis and sashimi) and added another two vegetarian sushi rolls. I asked the waiter to separate all the vegetarian rolls in the platter because my friend is vegetarian. And I also asked to have the rolls without cream cheese because I’m lactose intolerant. What we got was a joke for that price. We got 6 vegetarian Nigiris (didn’t ask for that?) and 4 other low quality nigiris. And instead of two special rolls, we just got one and they add another fried sushi (5,80€) instead. After telling the waiter about my disappointment, he reacted like there’s no mistake and asked me what I wanted. After an awkward wait, he offered to give us another 4 sake nigiris. If you didn’t get our order right, you could just repeat the order after taking notes to make sure? One miso soup was missing and they didn’t take it out from our bill. I booked a table for my brothers birthday but the whole situation was just so disappointed. Service was really slow, we didn’t feel welcoming there and fish quality wasn’t good. Restaurant wasn’t too busy but we waited so long for everything. There are so many good sushi restaurants in Cologne like Sweet sushi, daimyo, kaizen, Mirai Sushi and mikoto Sushi where the service and Fish quality are a lot better.

The sushi is very rich and very well presented. They have a very large variety of sushis, yet they offer hot dishes. They have sushi combo dishes that are very well worth taking, so you can try a little of everything for a good price. The place is very well decorated. The waiters, at least the one who got us, could be a little friendlier.

Very nice shop :) The service was super attentive, polite and also very courteous. Often you sit in a shop and would have drunk 10 more drinks in the meantime, but since nobody asks ... it's different here :) really good! And the food is arranged very lovingly and enriched with "special effects" ??

Best sushi in Cologne! Are now only here when we are after sushi. But other dishes are also very tasty. The employees are always very friendly. Can only recommend this shop to everyone.

I personally liked it very much at Umibar. The ambience is particularly noteworthy. The restaurant exudes an Asian flair but at the same time the restaurant equipment and thus the ambience is luxurious, modern and at the same time stylish but also cozy. You can really expect a special evening here. The prices are a bit higher, but you get a 1A service. The dishes are delicious. Every dish on the plate is served in such a way that the sight alone is an experience. I will definitely be back.

I was positively surprised by this place! They don't serve authentic sushi with Japanese know-how, but the food is quite good! Their sushi were generous and not compact, very pleasing! The cocktails were good too! Also really liked the atmosphere and the decoration of the restaurant.

Umibar offers unusual sushi varieties, other starters and main courses and a pleasant atmosphere. The place is pretty clear, so it's more cozy than loud. In addition, the service is very friendly and courteous! There were several inquiries as to whether everything was OK and whether there were any other requests. We really enjoyed the food, so we would love to come back :)

Outstanding food !!! Both starters and sushi were of the best quality. The restaurant is modern and of high quality. You sit very comfortably. The service was extremely quick and friendly! Highly Recommended!

Quite a interesting place to eat some good sushi. Price is relative okay for what it is and basically for the experience you get as they serve the sushi in a really awesome way. Options between 5,6 and 8 pieces are possible as well as some other dishes.

Sushi was good. Some main dish interpreted fusion in a weird way. They were a bit stressing to take our order and for us to leave. When actually ordering waiter paid too little attention and repeats were necessary.

You can not really say that Südstadt needs more sushi shops. But this one has completely convinced me. Great decor, super nice staff, very high quality sushi, crazy food. That stands out! We will be back :-)

Great place and great service, I love the atmosphere inside. I had a poke bowl for 12€ and green tea for 1,90€, very reasonable prices! Will come again ?

Amazing Asian Fusion restaurant. It‘s a new one and it‘s definitely worth the visit. I had the Tom Yum which was very nice and some sushi. It was also outstanding, one of the best I had in Cologne. Seems like the kitchen ison point as a whole! The interior is beautiful. The owner hasn‘t spared money to create a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Check it out!

Gyoza's were the best we had ever had. Delicious coffee. Their noodle dishes were remarkable. Such incredible food! Will recommend to everyone!
